Eugene Lewis headlines Montreal Alouettes’ potential free agent list

The Montreal Alouettes were eliminated from the CFL playoffs on Sunday following a 23-12 loss to the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. It was a disappointing end to a season in which they started 6-4 before failing to win their first postseason game since 2014.

There are a number of questions facing the team heading into the off-season, including a possible head coaching change. One piece of good news for Als fans is that star running back William Stanback, the East Division’s Most Outstanding Player, remains under contract for 2022.

Below is the list of players who are set to become free agents in February 2022. Please note that “N” denotes nationals (ie. Canadians), “A” denotes Americans, and “G” denotes Globals.

A number of players finished the season on Montreal’s practice roster, which means they are currently free agents. These include offensive lineman Samuel Thomassin, offensive lineman Kwabena Asare, defensive back Jermaine Gabriel, and defensive lineman Junior Luke.
