The Toronto Argonauts have claimed Canadian offensive lineman Jonathan Zamora from the Calgary Stampeders’ practice roster, per source.

As per CFL rules, players who are claimed off another team’s practice roster must be on the active roster the following week.

The native of Mississauga, Ont. was a third-round draft pick (No. 26 overall) out of St. FX in the 2020 CFL Draft. He has experience at centre and guard and spent the entire 2021 season developing on Calgary’s practice roster.

The six-foot-three, 312-pound blocker attended Canada Prep Academy and was an AUS all-star with the X-Men in 2019.

Toronto has had injuries along the offensive line this year, though Philip Blake and Dariusz Bladek recently returned to health. Zamora will provide the Argos with local depth at a key position as they pursue first place in the East Division.
