The Ottawa Redblacks have listed Caleb Evans as their starting quarterback for Week 9 against the Edmonton Elks.
Evans took first-team reps during practices in preparation for the match-up on Tuesday night at TD Place.
The 23-year-old signed with the Redblacks in December 2020 and has been with the team all season. He threw for 9,520 yards, 58 touchdowns, and 34 interceptions in 42 games at University of Louisiana Monroe and also ran for 2,162 yards and 36 scores, proving to be a dual-threat pivot.

The six-foot-two, 210-pound passer was named All-Sun Belt Conference third-team as a junior in 2018 and was one of three NCAA FBS quarterbacks to record multiple games with at least 290 passing yards and 100 rushing yards, alongside Oklahoma’s Kyler Murray and Houston’s D’Eriq King.
