The 27-year-old is coming off a disappointing performance during which he completed 18-of-32 pass attempts for 207 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions in a 32-19 loss at Tim Hortons Field.
McLeod Bethel-Thompson came off the bench late in the game and was effective, passing for 111 yards and a touchdown. The veteran pivot started Toronto’s first two contests of the season while Arbuckle nursed a glute injury.
The pivots have matching 1-1 records as the Argos’ starting passer this season, though Bethel-Thompson has a significantly better passer rating by virtue of his 3-0 touchdown-to-interception ratio.
Toronto returns home for the second half of their double-header with the Ticats where Arbuckle won his first game as the club’s starter with a 30-23 win in Week 3 over the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.
