-
Friday morning, all players, coaches, and staff received rapid antigen tests upon entry to team facilities.
-
One staff member, who had returned a negative PCR test Thursday and is currently asymptomatic, returned a positive rapid antigen test. The staff member was immediately sent home and is isolating, awaiting the results of a PCR test collected Friday. No other rapid antigen tests collected Friday were positive.
-
All players, coaches, and staff subsequently received PCR tests. The results of those tests are expected late Friday evening, or early Saturday morning.
-
Saturday’s game is not in jeopardy, as the impacted players and staff have been removed from the team, and no additional positive tests have been returned.
Early reports suggest starting strongside linebacker Brian Walker is one of the two players effected and he has been removed the active roster. The other player is not an active roster player and has not been identified.
