Montreal Alouettes to host up to 15,000 fans for home opener on Aug. 27

The Province of Quebec has given permission for the Montreal Alouettes to host up to 15,000 fans at the team’s opener on Friday, Aug. 27.

The Alouettes released the following statement regarding the decision.

The Montreal Alouettes are extremely pleased by the Gouvernement du Québec’s announcement, which will allow the team to host up to 15,000 fans at Percival Molson Memorial Stadium as early as the home opener on August 27.

The organization would like to thank the authorities in place for their responsiveness and availability throughout this entire process. The team and public health have worked hand in hand to put a plan in place, which will allow the Alouettes to safely host fans.

Following this announcement, individual tickets presale will take place on Thursday, 29 July at 10 a.m. ET.

The Alouettes will open their home schedule against the Hamilton Tiger-Cats following visits to the Edmonton Elks and Calgary Stampeders.
