The B.C. Lions rookies haven’t just been studying the playbook during training camp, they were tasked with learning Canada’s national anthem.
The group of first-year CFLers had to be ready to perform prior to the team’s scrimmage in Kamloops, B.C. on Saturday.

The rookie rendition of ‘O Canada’ started off strong, trailed off in the middle, with perhaps a few missed lyrics, but the finish made up for any mistakes. It was the first time during 2021 training camp fans could attend practice to watch the latest edition of the team prepare for the season.
Head coach Rick Campbell has his team focused on being ready for pre-game ceremonies and kick-off on Friday, August 6 against the Saskatchewan Roughriders at Mosaic Stadium.
