The Ottawa Redblacks have signed 2020 eighth-round CFL draft pick Kétel Assé.
The two-time U Sports First-Team All-Canadian was a highly-touted prospect last year but fell unexpectedly on draft day.
Assé checked in at six-foot-six and 311 pounds with an 81-inch wingspan at his Laval pro day in March 2020. He pumped out 26 reps on the bench press and recorded a 26.5-inch vertical and eight-foot, seven-and-a-half inch broad jump. He also ran a 5.48 shuttle, 8.24 three-cone and 5.35-second forty-yard dash.
Born in Haiti, Assé will look to prove that his draft-day fall was no more than a fluke.
