B.C. Lions sign receiver & explosive return specialist Lucky Whitehead

The B.C. Lions have signed Lucky Whitehead.

The 28-year-old receiver and return specialist was with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in 2019. He was an explosive playmaker, scoring touchdowns as a rusher, receiver, and returner.

Whitehead had 52 receptions for 521 yards and two touchdowns in 2019 along with nine carries for 92 yards and one score.

The speedster also recorded 29 returns for 712 yards and one score.

Prior to coming north, Whitehead had nine catches for 64 yards through parts of three seasons with the Dallas Cowboys. He earned more than $1 million in the NFL.
