Greg Ellingson will be back for another season with the Edmonton Football Team, reports TSN’s Farhan Lalji. He was set to become a free agent on February 9.
The 32-year-old has recorded five consecutive 1,000-yard seasons. He was named a West Division all-star for the first time in 2019 after spending the previous four seasons as a member of the Ottawa Redblacks.
Ellingson has played 107 career CFL games, making 502 receptions for 7,265 yards with 41 touchdowns.
The six-foot-three, 197-pound target was thought to be testing the free agent market after Edmonton signed perennial all-star Derel Walker. With Ellingson back in the fold, quarterback Trevor Harris will have one of the CFL’s best receivers corps at his disposal.
