Buffalo Bills sign former CFL receiver Duke Williams to futures contact

The Buffalo Bills are bringing back former CFL receiver Duke Williams.

The six-foot-three, 225-pound target made 12 catches for 166 yards and one touchdown — a game-winning TD in his NFL debut – in four games during the 2019 season.

He dressed for one game in 2020 while the spending the rest of the year on the practice squad.

Williams was moved to active roster for Buffalo’s Super Wild Card Weekend match-up against the Indianapolis Colts, though he did not dress for the game.

Though he hasn’t earned a regular spot in the Bills’ lineup, he has grabbed the attention of Buffalo’s franchise quarterback Josh Allen.

Williams caught 88 passes during the 2018 CFL season for a league-leading 1,579 yards and 11 touchdowns. At six-foot-three, 225 pounds, Williams provides a big frame and adds a physical presence.
