The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have signed two-time CFL Most Outstanding Offensive Lineman Stanley Bryant to a one-year contract extension for the 2021 season.

Bryant was scheduled to become a free agent in February.

Bryant returns for his sixth season in Winnipeg after originally signing as a free agent in 2015. He had a stellar 2019 campaign, and for the third-straight season was named the West Division nominee for Most Outstanding Offensive Lineman.

After playing in all 18 regular season games and three post-season games last season, Bryant was named a league all-star for the third consecutive year – the fifth time in his career – as he anchored the left side of an offensive line that was part of the CFL’s top running game.

Bryant, who was named the CFL’s Most Outstanding Offensive Lineman in 2017 and 2018, has started every game at left tackle since signing with Winnipeg in February 2015, boosting his consecutive games played streak to 101.

The ten-year CFL veteran spent his first five seasons in Calgary. He’s a two-time Grey Cup champion (Calgary 2014, Winnipeg 2019) and has been named a CFL All-Star in 2013, 2014, 2017, 2018 and 2019. Bryant has started 156 CFL games, 10 playoff games, and three Grey Cup games.

The six-foot-six, 313-pound Bryant has been the league’s best left tackle for over a decade.
