Hamilton Tiger-Cats re-sign national defensive back Mike Daly

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats have re-signed Mike Daly. Per source, it is a one-year contract extension.

The 30-year-old has appeared in 87 career games, recording 93 defensive tackles, 49 special teams tackles, eight interceptions, two forced fumbles, and one sack. He made two special teams tackles in the playoffs in 2019, including one in the Grey Cup.

Daly started two games in 2019 after Hamilton brought in Tunde Adeleke as a free agent at safety. He remains a key depth contributor and quality special teams contributor.

The McMaster product was a sixth-round pick of the Tiger-Cats in 2013 and has been with the team since 2014. He still resides in his hometown of Kitchener, Ont.
