The development league is holding a six-team, four-week season in a bubble in San Antonio, Texas in October and November. Morris played two seasons for the Stamps, both ended with him rupturing his Achilles tendon. The 27-year-old hasn’t been on a football field since the latest setback which occurred in August 2019.

The five-foot-10, 192-pound runner went unselected in the 2016 NFL draft, however he did sign an undrafted free agent contract with the New York Jets. He suffered a shoulder injury  during the pre-season which required and it put him on injured reserve for his entire rookie season.

The University of North Carolina product has high end athletic ability, 4.36 forty-yard time, and 38-inch vertical. If Morris can stay healthy he could be a difference-maker.
