The decision to postpone the game was made to ensure the health and safety of players, coaches and game day personnel. The Titans facility will remain closed and the team will continue to have no in-person activities until further notice.
Following Tennessee’s Week 3 win against Minnesota, three players and five team personnel people tested positive for the coronavirus. That brings the Titans team total to 10 COVID-19 cases. It’s the first spread of the virus since the season kicked off in early September.
Canadian receiver Chase Claypool will have a bye week earlier than expected. Pittsburgh’s scheduled Week 8 bye was at the same time as Week 7 opponent Baltimore. Meanwhile, Tennessee has a bye set for Week 7. The Steelers and Titans could play that week with the Ravens bye moved to Week 7 to account for the shifting schedule.
