The New York Giants have waived Canadian tight end/receiver Rysen John.

New York tagged John with a hamstring injury designation. He was an undrafted free agent signing from Simon Fraser University. John had a stellar senior season at SFU and it garnered the attention of NFL scouts.

The Vancouver native grabbed 53 passes for 861 yards and 10 touchdowns during his senior season. The six-foot-seven, 237-pound pass catcher has rare size and is confident he can make an impact at the pro level.
