Vernon Adams Jr. ranks the top 10 current CFL quarterbacks

Montreal Alouettes quarterback Vernon Adams Jr. joined The Rod Pedersen Show to talk about his rise to the starting job and new softened stance towards the league head office.

The electric QB capped the appearance with his ranking of the top ten CFL QBs, himself excluded.

Adams Jr. gave some love to each of the guys on the list, but believes the top three have really separated themselves from the pack. Bo Levi Mitchell’s status as a gunslinger and winner at every level clinches him the top spot and Adams Jr. thinks he’s already earned his place among the pantheon of great CFL QBs.

Adams Jr. covered all the established pivots with his list, but the rankings are sure to ruffle a few feathers in the ultra competitive world of pro football. The Montreal star excluded himself from the ranking but should slot in at No. 4 after a stellar season and a new three-year $1.5 million contract.

We can only hope we’ll get to see all these passers on the field at some point in order to really judge their worth. In the meantime, fans can only talk and debate football.
