The Saskatchewan Roughriders have agreed to terms with veteran national linebacker Nakas Onyeka. The contract is for one year.
Onyeka was released by the Toronto Argonauts last week following a four-year stint with the team. The Brampton native was a fifth-round selection of the Argos in 2017 and has recorded 44 tackles, two sacks and one forced fumble in 36 career games.
Onyeka had an extremely productive career with the Golden Hawks, recording 149 totals tackles, nine sacks, seven forced fumbles, and one interception. He will provide extra depth at linebacker for a Saskatchewan team that starts ratio-breaker Cameron Judge at weak-side.
