The Toronto native was a first-team All-Canadian for the second straight season in 2018 after setting a new single-season Canada West record with 67 receptions which he turned into 916 yards and six touchdowns while leading the conference with 1,503 all-purpose yards in just seven games.

Following a positive drug test for cocaine, Pinto was bumped from the draft last year to the 2020 class. According to CFL rules, a player who tests positive for a substance banned under the CFL drug policy in his draft year has his eligibility deferred for one year.

Pinto is a dynamic athlete who was named a Canada West conference all-star at both pass catcher and defensive back during his time with the UBC Thunderbirds. Even thought Pinto has been out of football for a year, it’s clear he’s in peak physical condition and ready for his pro opportunity.
