Eskimos sign American receiver Rodney Smith

The Edmonton Eskimos have signed American receiver Rodney Smith.

Smith joins the Eskimos after spending the 2018 and 2019 seasons with the Toronto Argonauts. He appeared in 23 games, recording 74 receptions for 903 yards with five touchdowns.

The six-foot-five, 225-pound pass catcher has dressed in eight games for the National Football League’s Minnesota Vikings and Cleveland Browns during the 2013 and 2014 season, but did not record a reception.

Smith played for Florida State University and through four years with the Seminoles made 106 catches for 1,540 yards with 10 touchdowns.
