Eskimos bring back linebacker Jovan Santos-Knox

The Edmonton Eskimos have re-signed linebacker Jovan Santos-Knox.

Santos-Knox was a free agent target secured by general manager Brock Sunderland, inking a one-year pact worth around $145,000 plus incentives last February. He played three games making 13 tackles and one sack with Edmonton in 2019.

The 25-year-old played 18 games for Winnipeg during the 2018 season recording 82 tackles, six sacks and two forced fumbles. As a CFL rookie in 2017, Santos-Knox made 47 tackles, 19 more on special teams, two sacks, two interceptions and forced one fumble.

When healthy, Santos-Knox is a standout linebacker.
