The Toronto Argonauts will welcome the Saskatchewan Roughriders to the Saint Mary’s University campus and Huskies Stadium on Saturday, July 25. Toronto played in the inaugural Touchdown Atlantic game in 2005, which was a pre-season contest, played at Huskies Stadium against the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.
Since then the CFL has played four regular season games in Moncton, New Brunswick as part of the Touchdown Atlantic series. The University of Moncton’s Stade Croix-Bleue Medavie was the site for each of those match ups.
Commissioner Randy Ambrosie will make the official announcement in Halifax on Thursday. Schooner Sports and Entertainment, the group working to bring the Atlantic Schooners into the league as the CFL’s tenth team, are presenting the Touchdown Atlantic game.
