A Canadian defensive lineman is getting another chance to strut his stuff.

Gabe Dansereau will be participating in next month’s Small School Showcase ahead of the CGS (College Gridiron Showcase) in Fort Worth, Texas.

The Merrimack College prospect played in the FCS National Bowl earlier this month and impressed a number of scouts. If he does well at the Small School Showcase, he’ll get an invite to the main event along with some other Canadian prospects.

The Montreal native missed the 2018 season due to injury but has otherwise been a fixture on the Warriors’ defensive line since 2015. The six-foot, 265-pound defender has 65 tackles, 10.5 tackles for loss, and four sacks in 35 collegiate games.

Defensive tackle isn’t a particularly deep position in the 2020 CFL draft class, so this is an opportunity for Dansereau to garner some extra attention ahead of combine season.
