Redblacks sign RB Timothy Flanders

The Redblacks have added some much-needed firepower on offence.

Timothy Flanders has signed with the team after spending a portion of 2019 on Calgary’s practice roster.

The 28-year-old spent three seasons in Winnipeg with Paul LaPolice, recording 96 carries for 541 yards and four touchdowns in 18 games. He was also used as a receiver, catching 43 passes for 352 yards and three touchdowns.

The Blue Bombers started a national running back during LaPolice’s stint in Winnipeg. With an American tailback expected to start in Ottawa, Flanders could be in the running for a starting role.
