Michel worked out for the Eagles on Monday.
Michel was released by the Eagles among the final roster cuts in August. He scored a 75-yard touchdown in his first exhibition game with the birds. He totalled four catches for 117 yards and one touchdown in four pre-season games. Michel worked out for the Eagles and Chicago Bears last December, inking a contract with Philly.
The 26-year-old went unselected in the 2016 NFL draft, but signed an undrafted free agent contract with the Minnesota Vikings. However, Michel was released at the end of training camp. The next year Michel went north of the border.
During Michel’s rookie CFL season in 2017, he caught 41 balls for 780 yards and three majors. In 2018 Michel made 31 catches for 435 yards with five touchdowns. Those totals earned him another shot in the NFL.
Michel could earn an active roster spot with the Eagles who have a depleted receiving core.
