A Mustang is heading south for the winter (briefly, at least).

Marc Liegghio will be participating in the College Gridiron Showcase, an annual event held in Fort Worth, Texas. OUA all-stars Dylan Giffen and Cam Lawson are already attending this year’s event, while CFL players Brady Oliveira, Zack Williams, and Connor Griffiths have attended in the past.

Liegghio connected on 29-of-32 field goals and all 34 of his one-point convert attempts in 2019. He also punted 46 times for an average of 47.5 yards and a long of 62.

The Western product has booted 92 field goals at the USports level, which is an all-time record.

Liegghio has the potential to be a placekicker in the CFL, but is considered one of the best punting prospects of the past decade.
