Jeff Knox Jr. is having a strange year.
The veteran linebacker was driving on the highway in his truck Tuesday morning when he struck an unlikely obstacle: a tiger.
Knox Jr. captioned the video “just when thought things couldn’t get any worst” and proceeds to show the deceased tiger on the side of the road.

A quick Google search reveals that an estimated 5,000 tigers live in captivity in the United States, though that doesn’t explain how one was loose on the highway.

Knox Jr. dressed in four games with the Redblacks this year, recording five defensive tackles and two special teams tackles.
The 27-year-old had an outstanding two-year stint with the Saskatchewan Roughriders (2015-2016) during which he made 177 defensive tackles, 29 special teams tackles, one sack, and one interception.
The Pittsburgh native has since had four brief NFL stints: Tampa Bay, 2017, 2018; Washington, 2018; and Tennessee, 2018.
