The Calgary Stampeders will be without veterans Derek Dennis and Jamar Wall against Saskatchewan in Week 18 due to injuries.

Dennis had started all 14 games for the Stampeders so far in 2019. The 30-year-old was the league’s Most Outstanding Offensive Lineman in 2016 as well as a CFL all-star. He anchored the unit playing in every game while winning a Grey Cup with Calgary in 2018. Dennis will be replaced in the starting lineup at right tackle by Nila Kasitati.

Wall’s made 60 tackles and one sack in 13 games during his eighth season with the Stamps. The 31-year-old has 401 tackles, 18 interceptions, five forced fumbles, five sacks and four touchdowns during 125 career games — all in Calgary. Lorenzo Jerome slides in at strong-side linebacker in Wall’s absence, it’s the rookie’s first career start.
If Calgary can find a way to win despite the players who are sidelined, the Stamps would earn the season series and take first place in the West Division from the Riders.
