The Calgary Stampeders have placed the league’s leading receiver and tackler on the one game injured list.

Reggie Begelton and Cory Greenwood won’t play for the Stamps in Toronto during Week 15.

Begelton was the first pass catcher to cross the 1,000-yard mark in 2019 sitting with 1,036 to lead the CFL plus seven touchdowns on 72 receptions. The third-year target has broken out.

Greenwood has had a resurgent season in Cowtown. The 34-year-old paces the three-down circuit with 79 tackles in 12 games. Also, he has recorded three forced fumbles, two sacks, and one interception from his middle linebacker spot taking over for the departed Alex Singleton.

He is expected to receive consideration for the league’s Most Outstanding Defensive Player and Most Outstanding Canadian awards come the end of the season.

The Stamps likely feel they can rest two key players and still have enough to get a win against the lowly 2-9 Argos.
