Former Stamps receiver, Marken Michel scores long touchdown for Philadelphia Eagles

Former Calgary Stampeders receiver, Marken Michel made an impact right away in the NFL pre-season.

Michel scored a 75-yard touchdown touchdown for the Philadelphia Eagles on Thursday night in his first exhibition game with the team. He worked out for the Eagles and Chicago Bears last December, inking a contract with Philly.

The 26-year-old went unselected in the 2016 NFL draft, but signed an undrafted free agent contract with the Minnesota Vikings. However, Michel was released at the end of training camp. The next year Michel went north of the border.

During Michel’s rookie CFL season in 2017, he caught 41 balls for 780 yards and three majors. In 2018 Michel made 31 catches for 435 yards with five touchdowns. Those totals earned him another shot in the NFL.

Michel is vying for a spot on the Eagles roster.
