Jordan was released by the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in June.
The older Jordan is a current member of the Brooklyn Nets, inking a four-year, $40 million dollar deal during free agency joining forces with Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving. Through his basketball career Jordan has been named All-NBA first-team (2016), an NBA all-star (2017), NBA all-defensive first team (2015 and 2016) and led the association on rebounding two separate seasons (2014 and 2015).
The younger Jordan signed with the Ticats in 2018. He played nine games for Hamilton during his rookie season. But with ratio-breaking Canadian tackle Chris Van Zeyl coming over from the Toronto Argos and Ryker Mathews re-joining the black and gold, the tackle depth chart changed quickly making Jordan expendable.
Lions general manager Ed Hervey needed to bring in some reinforcements for the offensive line. B.C.’s offensive line has allowed a league-worst 21 sacks and allowed opposing defences to tee-off on multi-million dollar pivot Mike Reilly.
