Butler signed with the Argos on July 3 after the Riders released him following training camp. He 2017 played in 26 games over two seasons in Saskatchewan making 70 tackles, two sacks and forcing one fumble.
Johnson played in one game last season for Toronto registering two tackles. The 27-year-old was one the CFL’s leaders in quarterback pressures among defensive tackles in 2017 with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. He won a starting job as a rookie posting 20 tackles and five sacks in 16 games.
Johnson remained a first-stringer through the first nine games of 2018, but after being demoted to the practice roster, he was eventually released by the Bombers upon his request. Saskatchewan picked him up, but Johnson never suited up for the Riders.
Sutton signed as a free agent with the Argos, but never played a down for the double blue. He spent parts of six seasons in Montreal and ended last with the B.C. Lions after the Alouettes sent him to the west coast in a trade.
