Matt Nichols has a sense of humour.
Practice laughs… Matt Nichols takes off up the middle on a keeper, slides early and slowly, to a rousing round of applause and cheers from his #Bombers teammates.

The Bombers starting quarterback left in the third quarter of Winnipeg’s Week 4 win against the Ottawa Redblacks after taking an unnecessary hit on an 18-yard run by linebacker Kevin Brown. Nichols only needed six yards for a first down — he had ample opportunity to slide early, but chose instead to wait until the last possible moment.
It was a close call for the 32-year-old QB who entered concussion protocol, but was made available to the media after the game and he felt fine afterwards, avoiding injury. Nichols is well enough to joke around about the decision to put himself in harm’s way.
