Redblacks to sign former Riders LB Jeff Knox Jr.

The Ottawa Redblacks are set to sign linebacker Jeff Knox Jr., per sources.

Knox Jr. played seven games making 31 tackles, four on special teams and one sack for the Toronto Argos in 2018. That came after the 27-year-old was waived at the end of NFL training camp by the Tennessee Titans.

Knox Jr. spent the first three seasons of his CFL career in Saskatchewan. He played 43 games recording 200 tackles, 36 more on special teams, two sacks and one interception.

During his rookie season in Regina, Knox Jr. earned the Riders’ Most Outstanding Player, Most Outstanding Defensive Player and Most Outstanding Rookie awards because of a franchise single-season record 114 tackles.
