Canadian defender Chris Ackie has agreed to terms with the Montreal Alouettes, per sources.

After spending the first four-plus seasons of his career in Montreal, the Alouettes sent Ackie to the Ottawa Redblacks at the CFL trade deadline last October for a second-round draft pick. He returns to Montreal following a Grey Cup appearance.

Ackie has played in 55 career CFL games making 116 tackles, forcing four fumbles, two sacks, two interceptions while scoring one touchdown after the Alouettes chose the 27-year-old in the first round of the 2015 CFL draft.
