The Calgary Stampeders have signed national defensive lineman Jabar Westerman.
Westerman was released by the Montreal Alouettes in April 2019. The 30-year-old played seven games and recorded four tackles in 2018.
He has played 109 regular season games making 95 tackles, 18 sacks, 14 tackles for loss, six knockdowns, four forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries and one interceptions.
Westerman was selected by the B.C. Lions in the first round, second overall during the 2012 CFL draft. He was the Lions’ nominee, and West Division finalist, for the CFL’s Most Outstanding Rookie award in 2012.
