The Alouettes have signed Canadian receiver Kaion Julien-Grant.
Montreal selected Julien-Grant in the second round, 13th overall during the 2019 CFL draft.
Julien-Grant checked in at a full six-foot-one, 210 pounds while displaying explosion at the CFL combine by posting a 37.5-inch vertical, 10-foot, 7.25-inch broad jump and 4.49 40-yard dash. The St. Francis Xavier University grad was unanimously timed in the 4.30 range by scouts using stop watches.
He made 49 receptions for 638 yards and five touchdowns last season with the X-Men. Over 31 career games with St. FX, Julien-Grant caught 118 passes for 2,032 yards and 22 touchdowns, adding 672 yards on 31 kickoff returns with 1,786 yards and two touchdowns on 119 punt returns.
The national pass catcher has elite speed and potential to be a game-breaker at the CFL level.
