After going unselected in the 2017 NFL draft, the San Francisco 49ers invited Geter to rookie mini-camp but a torn pectoral muscle ended his season.
Chris Jones and the Riders found Geter at a free agent camp in Charlotte, North Carolina last April.
Special teams are Geter’s specialty, it jumps out on film, and the Alouettes believe he can contribute at linebacker and along defensive line.
