The Winnipeg Football Club has called a press conference for Wednesday to announce there will be an NFL pre-season game played at IG Field.
The exhibition contest is between the Oakland Raiders and Green Bay Packers.
Sources have confirmed the #Bombers will host the NFL pre-season game between Oakland and Green Bay on Thursday, Aug. 22. There is currently a Valour FC game that evening but work has been done to move it. Also, word is average ticket price will likely exceed $200. #wfp

Oakland and Green Bay are scheduled to play in Week 3 of the NFL’s pre-season schedule. The Bombers are on the road in Edmonton during Week 11 of the CFL slate.
After it was known Regina exited the running to host the NFL pre-season game, the Blue Bombers said “the Winnipeg Football Club is always exploring opportunities to host events at Investors Group Field.”
That has led to Winnipeg hosting an NFL game for the first time ever.
