Eskimos receiver Anthony Parker suffers torn Achilles

Eskimos receiver Anthony Parker suffered a season-ending injury in Edmonton’s second and final pre-season game in Winnipeg.

In 117 career regular season games, Parker has 185 catches for 2,344 yards and 15 touchdowns. The University of Calgary product made 36 catches for 482 yards and three touchdowns in 2017, Parker’s last of seven seasons with the Stampeders.

The 29-year-old sign with B.C. midway through the 2018 season, playing nine games catching seven passes for 99 yards.

Parker was selected in the first round, third overall during the 2011 CFL draft. Losing Parker would be a blow to Edmonton’s national receiving depth.
