Evans played with the Salt Lake Stallions of the Alliance of American Football league before it folded.
Previously, Evans spent four seasons with the Calgary Stampeders, suiting up in 48 games making 127 tackles, nine interceptions and three forced fumbles. The 26-year-old was a CFL all-star in 2017 and West Division all-star in 2018.
After going undrafted in the NFL, the five-foot-11, 195-pound cover man attended Chicago Bears rookie mini-camp in 2014 but he was not offered a contract.
The University Nebraska product played four seasons from 2010-2013 for the Cornhuskers. He suited up in 47 games making 33 starts, accumulating 143 tackles, 15 tackles for loss, five sacks and five interceptions.
Evans has elite cover ability and instantly upgrades the Alouettes defensive backfield.
