Mitchell was released by the Arizona Cardinals on May 10. Less than a week later he finds a new NFL team. The 26-year-old worked out for the Arizona Cardinals, Detroit Lions, New York Jets and New York Giants in December.
Mitchell had his best CFL season in 2018 playing 11 games recording 60 catches for 867 yards and three touchdowns. Over three seasons on Edmonton, Mitchell made 97 receptions for 1,418 yards and six touchdowns. He went unselected in the 2015 NFL draft.
