University of Manitoba Bisons quarterback Des Catellier is attending Saskatchewan Roughriders training camp as part of the CFL’s Canadian QB internship program.
Catellier passed for 2,012 yards, 16 touchdowns against seven interceptions while completing 65 per cent of his passes last season for the Bisons who made the Canada West playoffs. The Calgary native took over Manitoba’s starting job in 2017 when he amassed 1,142 yards in the air with five touchdowns and seven interceptions.
At the 2019 USports East-West Bowl, Catellier hit on 12-of-16 passes for 144 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions as the West team won 35-17.
