American defensive back Mercy Maston has been waived by the Philadelphia Eagles.
Maston worked out for the Eagles in December and signed a futures contract with Philly in January.
Maston played two seasons for the Edmonton Eskimos, who released him to pursue the NFL opportunity, recording 57 tackles, eight special teams stops and two interceptions in 19 games. He recovered from a torn Achilles suffered during warm-ups prior to the Eskimos Labour Day rematch against Calgary on September 9, 2017, to get back on the field in 2018.
