The Saskatchewan Roughriders have signed running back Jamal Morrow.

Morrow played four years at Washington State University carrying the football 316 times for 1,795 yards and nine touchdowns while recording 202 receptions for 1,748 yards and 14 touchdowns. He can provide help as a returner with 24 kick-off returns for 476 yards and 22 punt returns for 200 yards. The all-purpose back ranks third in Washington State history with 4,219 all-purpose yards.

Morrow went unselected in the 2018 NFL draft. He attended the Seattle Seahawks and Tampa Bay Buccaneers rookie mini-camps, but did not receive a contract.

Morrow signed with the Orlando Apollos of the Alliance of American Football league, however, the team waived him in training camp.

Saskatchewan currently has international running backs William Powell, Marcus Thigpen, Tre Mason and Taye Davis on the roster.

The ability to catch passes out of the backfield makes Morrow a fit for the CFL game.
