Bombers ‘exploring’ NFL pre-season game in Winnipeg

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers haven’t dismissed the potential of hosting an NFL pre-season game in August.

“The Winnipeg Football Club is always exploring opportunities to host events at Investors Group Field. At this time the Club has no further comment,” the Blue Bombers said in a statement.

Earlier Tuesday CJME/CKOM Saskatchewan radio host John Gormley reported the possible NFL exhibition game between the Oakland Raiders and Green Bay Packers won’t happen in Regina. Gormley added once the CFL board of governors found out the Winnipeg Blue Bombers ‘stepped up’ and want the Raiders-Packers game while negotiations are continuing – working hard to make it happen.
