Canadian receiver Nate Behar joins Redblacks

Canadian receiver Nate Behar has agreed to terms with the Ottawa Redblacks on a one-year contract for the 2019 season, per sources.

Behar ran a 4.61 40-yard time and pumped out 22 reps of 225 pounds on the bench press at the CFL combine and the Edmonton Eskimos drafted the five-foot-11, 204-pound pass catcher in the first round, fifth overall of the 2017 CFL draft. After a holdout, Behar signed a two-year contract, suited up in 12 games as a rookie and played 18 last season making 27 catches for 257 yards and one touchdown.

The 24-year-old played four years at Carleton University where he recorded 178 receptions for 2,577 yards and 21 touchdowns in 30 USports games while being named an All-Canadian twice.
