Rod Pedersen stepping down as Riders play-by-play man

Rod Pedersen, the play-by-play voice of the Saskatchewan Roughriders, is resigning from his position.

He made the announcement on Twitter Wednesday afternoon.

Pedersen has recently interviewed with Sportsnet 960 The Fan in Calgary and is in the running for a new position at the station. And Pedersen has close ties with the Atlantic Schooners and that could be an option.

Pedersen is well known throughout Saskatchewan.
