Linebacker Kyries Hebert will not be back with the Ottawa Reblacks in 2019.
The veteran linebacker signed a one-year deal in the nation’s capital last February after the Montreal Alouettes released the 38-year-old. The return to Ottawa featured two suspensions during 2018.
Hebert was handed a two-game punishment – his second suspension of the season – after hitting Montreal Alouettes receiver B.J. Cunningham in the “side of his head in a reckless manner,” according to the league.
Hebert was suspended one game in June after levelling Calgary receiver DaVaris Daniels with a headshot.
Hebert is a ferocious defender often referred to as the CFL’s dirtiest player.
