Eskimos DB Mercy Maston works out for Philadelphia Eagles

Defensive back Mercy Maston worked out for the Philadelphia Eagles on Friday, per NFL sources.

Maston has played two seasons for the Edmonton Eskimos recording 57 tackles, eight special teams stops and two interceptions in 19 games. He recovered from a torn Achilles suffered during warm-ups prior to the Eskimos Labour Day rematch against Calgary on September 9, 2017, to get back on the field in 2018.

The 26-year-old originally signed with Edmonton when the practice rosters were expanded in 2016.

Maston played in 25 games at Boise State University making 71 tackles, one interception, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery. Maston checked in at five-foot-10, 182 pounds while running a 4.46 40-yard dash, 4.26 short shuttle, recording a 36.5-inch vertical and nine-foot, 10-inch broad jump at the Broncos pro day in 2016.

Even though Maston went unselected in the NFL draft, franchises south of the border are at least taking a look with the film put together in the CFL.
